Our Third Annual “Shall We Dance?” Gala will take place on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
CARRY’s Second Annual “Shall We Dance?” Gala was a phenomenal success! Over 250 guests attended the event at The Beverly Hills Hotel on October 19, 2007. CARRY exceeded its goal by raising over $280,000 for at-risk foster youth.
The event was hosted by Jenifer Lewis. Our honorees included Trish Ploehn, director of the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, Grammy award-winners Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr., and Bishop Kenneth Ulmer, Ph.D., renowned leader, author, community activist and pastor of Faithful Central Bible Church of Los Angeles. Our featured performer was Grammy award winner and legendary disco queen Thelma Houston, and we had special appearances by Brandy and Miss Keke Palmer.
